AlpPlan at DKG‘23

At the German Congress of Geography (DKG’23) in Frankfurt am Main (DE), Hubert Job and Marco Pütz hosted an AlpPlan thematic session with insights and discussions around the implications of climate change and energy transition for Alpine spatial planning, both from the perspective of academic research and practical implementation. The session included the following presentations (in German language):

• Kerstin Ströbel, Peter Laner, Thomas Streifeneder (Eurac Research): Interreg Alpine Space project PlanToConnect: Implementation of ecological connectivity in spatial planning systems of the Alpine Space
• Markus Lambracht, Dominik Bertram (FAU Erlangen-Nuremberg): The Settlement System of the Alps: Sustainable Territorial Development in Non-Standard Geographies
• Constantin Meyer (ARL - Academy for Territorial Development in the Leibniz Association): Integration of climate resilience criteria into a Planning Support System (PSS) for Alpine spatial planning
